My name is Dede Parker and I am the owner operator of the Alpaca Pinnacle Ranch in Granville, NY. Several years ago, I was wandering around our 80+ acre property and considering the alternatives to regular farming and more conventional livestock options. I have always been happier outdoors but the care of conventional livestock just did not appeal to me any more. Someone, I do not remember whom, had suggested that I take a look at Alpacas. Well, one look was enough. I fell in love with these gentle creatures.

Our Girls

Now, my passion is caring for and raising these wonderful animals. Today, at Alpaca Pinnacle Ranch, we have over 30 of these beautiful creatures. We have an extensive breeding program. Our herd is a mixture of many of the traditional Alpaca colors. We strive to produce the best in all respects. We successfully show them whenever we can get a chance. In addition, in part because of our climate in upstate New York, our Alpacas develop superb fleece that is highly sort after by enthusiastic spinners and weavers.

Our Boys

Our Alpacas share the paddocks with our ducks, geese, chickens, cats and dogs with all enjoying a very peaceful existence. Alpacas are for outdoor types and animal lovers who don't mind getting their hands dirty now and then ...and who genuinely enjoy nature.
